4-17-2018  *  WOLVES… EAGLES & WILDCATS… OH MY – The Varsity Vikings (5-7) (6-10) have a 3 day baseball marathon going.

VS – Eastlake (4-7/6-9) WEDNESDAY – RECAP

It was lucky number 3 for Eastlake pitching, until the top of the 7th inning when they changed their lucky number to 4.
Nathan Fitzgibbons started on the rubber for the Wolves and gave up 3 hits in 3 innings, with 3 strikeouts over 3 innings… However in the end, it was a Viking loss to Eastlake 3 – 4.

As always the spectacular Sean Mulcare lead the Vikings going 2 for 2 from the plate, while Garrett Oremus looked impressive on the mound.  Unfortunately the Vikings had 3 errors and Eastlake had zero errors, which was probably a contributing factor to the loss… viks need short memories of this, as the Vikings travel to Issaquah for a Thursday game.

 VS Issaquah (8 – 4 / 11 – 5)  THURSDAY – RECAP

The Viking’s managed just 3 hits on the day, compared to the Eagles 9 Hits – Ensang Yu led the way with 2 hits and an RBI, while Jacob Liedle added 1 hit. Sean Muclare reached base on a walk and scored the only run on Yu’s singl in T1.

Issaquah held off until B3 when they scored a touchdown and kicked a field goal for a total of 9 points. That is all it took and it was cruise control from their.

 VS MOUNT SI (8 – 4/ 10 – 6)  FRIDAY – PREVIEW

Mount Si and the Vikings will feel the pitching pressure come Friday, as both teams have triple header schedules due to rain outs. The Wildcats got by the Vikings 1 -0 earlier in the season and remain a solid team, winning 6 of the last 7. During the streak they scored double digit runs against West Seattle (13) and North Creek (24). Lets hope the Vikings get some good home field bounces and come up on the right side of this one…
